Well it is my turn.
We are driving to Franz Joseph, and we are already a day behind on the blog, oh dear. I am wondering if typing is the same as reading, in which case I don’t have that long before I feel like throwing up.
We are driving along a mostly straight road with the occasional one way bridge with railway tracks on it, so I am sure you can appreciate the blinding panic that Scott goes through every time we approach one, luckily the road is relatively busy and we just follow other cars along it and go when they go.
Driving along, listening to the cheerful bing bong that Lee (our GPS) emits when we go over the speed limit, and giving us directions in his Australian twang.
So…. Where were we….oh Nelson
We went to the Wearable Art Museum on the way out of Nelson, we were suitably inspired,, some of the costumes were so cool, the intricate designs must have taken them so long.
Scott just passed a car (I have to document these occasions)
After that we made our way to Greymouth under the constant guidance of Lee. The trip was fairly uneventful, much less windy than the road to Nelson. We arrived in Greymouth about 3pm. To a Nana and Grandad that haven’t changed at all. So after some cards, some talking and a lot of home brew, it was time for dinner, guess, go on….PIZZA!
Well after some more talking, some more cards and some more home brew ( little more alcoholic than we are used to) it was time for bed.
(sorry no pictures today!)
